What is Redrovr?

Redrovr helps fans connect in person with their favorite artists, speakers, and performers. Make events and meetups happen in your city with the people you want to see!

• Become a fan of someone, and see who else in your city is a fan

• Vote for the events with this person that you want to happen, or propose your own

• Rally enough fans together to convince the person to come!

Redrovr flips event organization upside down -- fans propose events, vote for their favorite event ideas, and convince the artists to make those events happen!

How do I use Redrovr?

• Vote for events you want to happen in your city, or propose your own!

• Rally other fans together to make the events happen!

• Plan events and meetups with fans, or participate in events your fans create for you!

I can't find the person I'm looking for

If you know someone's real name or Twitter username ("@krrish"), you can find them by searching in the Redrovr search box.

Wait, so everyone on Redrovr must be a Twitter user?

Yes. Right now everyone has to have a Twitter account to be on Redrovr. Soon, we'll let you add anyone, but right now we're just focusing on Twitter users.

And everyone is both a fan AND a speaker?

Yes. Just like how you follow people on Twitter but you also have followers. You're a fan of other people, but other people might be your fan and want you to come to their city.

How do I know someone on Redrovr is actually the real person?

Check their Twitter username. Every person on Redrovr is linked to a Twitter account, so if their Twitter username is correct, then that is the right person!

Are people with "Fan-Created Profiles" actually using Redrovr?

Redrovr allows anyone to create a Redrovr page for any Twitter user. If a person's Redrovr page says "Fan-Created Profile" in the top-right corner, that person has not yet started using Redrovr. Send them an email or a tweet to tell them to join and meet their fans on Redrovr!

OK, so events are linked to people, and I can only propose an event for someone I'm a fan of?

Yes, events on Redrovr are all about people, and you must be a fan of someone to propose or support an event for them.

What is a proposed event?

Proposed events are ideas for possible events, created by fans like you. They will only happen when the person the event is for agrees to do the event. If you want a proposed event to happen, support it! The events with the most fan support are the most likely to be confirmed!

How do I propose an event?

You can propose an event for someone from the Events tab on their Redrovr profile.

What is a confirmed event?

A confirmed event is an event that the speaker or guest of honor has agreed to.

What is a non-Redrovr event?

Non-Redrovr events are events outside of Redrovr, like conferences that people are attending.

How does a proposed event turn into a confirmed event?

The person the event is for must accept the event proposal.

I don't have a date in mind for my proposed event. What do I do?

Create a proposed event with the info you have! You can add a date later, or ask the speaker in the comment section what dates work for them.

How do I find a venue for my event?

A cafe or a bar may be the right choice for your event. You can often book rooms at libraries and universities. If you don't have a venue in mind, ask event supporters in the comment section for their suggestions. Meetup.com also has some guidelines on finding the right venue.

Send them an email or a tweet to start using Redrovr!
